Reflections from the Launch of the After the Dragon Podcast
From concept to reality, our thought process on how we drafted and crafted the brand of After the Dragon,

After the Dragon as a concept is fresh - although its ideas are timeless. A podcast like no other, it blends storytelling with philosophy, politics, life & death, sciences, and everything in between to inspire listeners to carry on with their own, unique life journeys.
The first episode launched this Thursday, December 5th. We wanted to discuss this one-of-a-kind case study with you all, as Strategaze was behind all the marketing materials!
Name finding: Philosophical Stimulations
Name setting was not as troublesome as with Strategaze itself - in fact, the name came out effortlessly.
After the Dragon is inspired by Nietczhe's idea of life stages, as depicted in Thus Spoke Zarathustra. We won't spoil much about the name; if you're curious, you can listen to the first episode on Spotify or YouTube, or read the transcript.
Brand Identity: Putting AI Resources into Use
To keep the budget low and not involve an external designer, AI came to the rescue once more, as Canva had the solution for the unique logo!
After numerous prompts, Canva Dreamlab came out with the below graphic


Which directly looked like a Placebo artwork, so it wasn't difficult to repurpose it as a logo, just by adding the right touches!
Colors (#AAA69D for detailing, #3E3831 for font colors, and #424242 for website elements) were directly taken from the logo, which had a monochromatic aesthetic of neutrals.
Finally, fonts. The single font of Lora, with its poetic Serif look, with no use of bold and limited use of Italic (ex. for details in episode artwork) just matched, creating a metamodern combination that does convey existential feelings; exactly what you would expect from an existentialism podcast.




Mediums: Website, Social Media
For the launch, Social Media accounts were set on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Spotify; future plans to expand to TikTok are accounted for. Make sure you check them out!
The website - useful to have to host the post's transcripts, and potentially other news if the idea grows, was also built with Hostinger AI; its straightforward AI generator helped build a solid structure for the website. After customizing everything using the brand guidelines, the result turned out to be simple, yet stunning.

Next Steps: Scaling the podcast to find its audience
Launching a podcast is one thing, but the real deal is how to scale it from now on.
Paid campaigns are planned after some episodes are rolled out, but for now, organic traction with Word of Mouth and relevant Social Media Channels (Reddit & Quora are two interesting instances to review) will be the name of the game.
However; that's a case study for the future!
Conclusions: Inspirations Count & Come from Everywhere!
Marketing is all about inspiration, but to be stimulated, you have to be out there. To stay competitive in marketing is to have a curious spirit, and a growth mindset; without both, your ideas will become complacent.
